We provided survey layout files for construction of shopping centre road works including utility, curb, and road layout.

Victoria Airport Rehabilitation, Raylec Power Ltd.

Project required us to safely work in a high traffic airport with security clearance setting control using GPS static survey methods; check design drawing, and make updates for layout of taxiway lighting

Comox Airfield Runway Rehabilitation, JJM Construction/Defense Construction Canada

This 4-month project required us to work safely in a high-traffic military and civilian area with strict security clearance to prepare high-order control survey using GPS static survey base on both sides of runway; layout cut and fills for milling and pavement overlay of 16.5 lane kms of pavement; layout for electrical, drainage, swales, and roadways; remeasures for areas and volumes.

Kootenay Parkway Pavement Study, JEGEL

Hwy. 93 South from Hwy. 1 to Radium Hot Springs
Prepare GPS static base survey for 110 km for geotechnical pavement study using GPS RTK, kinematic, and code processing; through mountainous passes in Banff and Kootenay National Parks.

Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal, KATO Construction Ltd.

Construction of Phase II of ferry terminal upgrade for BC Ferries
Construction layout of blasting, electrical, storm, water, and sanitation; volumes calculations; layout of concrete aprons and building foundations; retaining wall layout; design checks.

Wally to Forester Bridges, Hwy. 4, Ministry of Transportation

1.3 km of topographic survey of Hwy. 4 near Port Alberni.  GPS control in mountainous and valley terrain with dense vegetation.

Hammond Bay Road, Phase II, Urban Systems

Topographic survey of of 3 km along Hammond Bay Road in Nanaimo from Nottingham Drive to Morningside Drive for safety improvements .

Terasen Gas GPS, Terasen Gas Inc.

Located elements visible on aerial photographs at 23 sites on Vancouver Island and Sunshine Coast using RTK GPS for purpose of aerial mapping.

Russell Road Subdivision, Island West Investments Ltd.

14-lot subdivision in Ladysmith.  Construction layout of roadwork, sanitary and storm sewers, catch basins, water mains, legal lots, centerlines, and grade staking.

Pearson Bridge Construction, Emcon Services Inc.

Waterloo Bridge at Fanny Bay, Precision Civil Installations

Bridge construction layout and volumes for payments of Waterloo Bridge at Fanny Bay.

Terasen Gas Pipeline Upgrade, Terasen Gas Inc.

Topographic survey and line cutting of 4 km through heavily forested area for gas pipeline upgrade and relocation. Control survey done with RTK/GPS for digital terrain modeling, CAiCE and AutoCAD processing.

Stewart Road on Salt Spring Island, CMS Focus

Horizontal and vertical field re-design using CAiCE and TDS Survey Pro.  Slope staking, grade staking, plans plotting, profile plotting, and cut sheets

Benson Meadows Land Development, Island Creekside Properties LP

180 hectare subdivision between Jingle Pot Road and Jameson Road.  Topographic survey; layout of road center line, right-of-way, and lot lines for subdivision development and lot sales;  plans production; AutoCAD plotting; and presentation.

Sombrio Bridge Realignment, Ministry of Transportation, ND Lea Consultants

11 km of GPS control, horizontal, and vertical control, static and RTK;  layout of horizontal alignment for Ministry of Transportation in preparation for contract tender.

Mesachie Lake to Port Renfrew, AMEC

This project was 60 km of GPS horizontal and vertical control, static and RTK; supervision of 3-4 field crews doing 53 km of topographic survey; processing of field survey data using CAiCE and AutoCAD 2005; preliminary design of 14 km of this roadway for field construction; liaison with legal surveyors, construction project supervisor, Timber West Forest Company, and Ministry of Transportation.

Highway 10 and Highway 15 Preload Contract, CMS Focus

These two projects were in Surrey on the lower mainland.  They were day-labour projects under contract to the Ministry of Transportation.  Responsibilities were to lay out drainage structures; supervise the construction of creek canalization and ditching;  layout and construction of lock block walls; layout and installation of box culverts; layout the right-of-way for construction; AutoCAD and CAiCE liaison between designer, contractor, and Ministry of Transportation.

Highway 3B, Fruitvale Highway Design, 1st Team Engineering Ltd.

Detailed highway design of an open shoulder and curb and gutter section of highway through Fruitvale, BC.  Design in CAiCE PE and AutoCAD.

Highway 4 Maureen Bridge Replacement, Ward Contracting and PCI Ltd.

Provide construction layout, slope staking, grade staking, and volume calculations for Ministry of Highways bridge construction project.  Survey processing and modeling in CAiCE PE and layout design information in AutoCAD.

Highway 59, Nazko Road, Cariboo Highway District, DWB Forestry Inc.

Establish GPS control for a second order control survey.  Completed a 14 km topographic survey for a Ministry of Transportation road improvement design.  Survey processing and modeling in CAiCE PE and Cadastral plans production in AutoCAD.

Bonsal Bridge Construction, Ruskin Construction Ltd.

Provide construction layout, slope staking, grade staking, volume calculations, and Quality Control for Ministry of Highways bridge construction project.  Survey processing and modeling in CAiCE PE and layout design information from AutoCAD.

Sea to Sky Highway Section 9, Mason Surveys

Established survey control, completed a topographic survey of 3.5 kilometers of existing Highway 19 between Rubble Creek and Black Tusk Estates.  Completed a detailed topographic survey and 2 site plans at the Cheakamus River Bridge and Daisy Lake Bridge,  completing the project with base mapping plans using AutoCAD for drafting and CAiCE PE for digital modeling and survey processing.
